What does The Qur'an says

The Qur'an says (5th AL-QASAS):

"And we wished to be Gracious to those who were being depressed in the Land, to make them Leaders (in Faith) and make them heirs."

He is lovely and knowing; he is beautiful and wonderful; he is the manifestation of God's grace and mercy.

In fact everyone is awaiting the same most perfect savior, the promised one, whom all holy prophets from Adam to Mohammad (PBUH) had talked about. If the teaching of the divine prophets (the word of God) had not been changed and distorted throughout the ages, then today everyone would have known the savior, clearly.

The Shiah, through the divinely ordained leadership and heavenly be stowed lordship of 12 infallible Imams after the Prophet Mohammad (PBUT) have saved the word of God. And Sunnite believes in the appearance at the end of world of a peace maker of the name of Mahdi.

The promised one is the Mohammad's progeny. He is living on earth and shall emerge. By God's command, the Quran promises that, with the appearance of Mahdi and the second coming of Jesus (PBUH), humankind shall experience the most beautiful moments of life. Let us all strive for and pray for that magnificent day, when the rainbow of human dreams shall make the sky of human life colorful and wonderful.

Shia`s belife on the promised one

The Twelfth Holly Imam

Muhammad, son of Hassan al-Askari the eleventh Imam, was born on the 15th Shaaban, 250A.H.at Sammera. His mother was Narjes, (malikah) dauter of Yashoo`aa. Her mother was the descendant of Sham`uoon son of Haroon. Son of Safa,  the successor for Jesus the prophet. His epithet is Abul-Ghasem, and is popularly entitled, al-Mahdi, al-Gha`em, al-Muntazar, al- Hujjah, Bagheyyatullah, and  al-Khalaf-al Saleh. The holy Imam had been absent two times. At the first he disappeared. For about seventy four years, but during this time, he appointed four persons as his representatives amongst Muslims. This trusty man, who could see the holy Imam, were Othman son of saed al-Amravi, Muhammad son of Othman al-Amravi Husain son of Rooh, and Ali son of Muhammad al- Samori. They were all buried at Baghdad, and their tombs are known as Nuwwab al-Arba`ah(the four representatives). A little before the death of the last one, the holy Imam commanded Muslims as fallows:

"In all events of life, refer ye to those who bear our traditions; the most faithful scholars who know the Islamic teachings in detail .They are the authorit0y over you on my behalf, and I am the authority on behalf of God."

Then after the death of the last representatives the second absence (or Ghaibatul –Kubra) started. He is still alive and lives his life in such a way that nobody recognizes him, and he does not introduce himself to people as an Islam but when God orders, he will appear and will preach the teaching of Islam and Holy Quran, and invite people to Islam until on earth there remains nothing save the religion of Islam, so Justice and equity will have their rule. In other word, according to the belief of Shiah, there will finally be a day that the mankind will reach to an impasse because of inequity, tyranny, struggles, wars, bloodsheds and injustice. Then with a sacred spiritual revolution, guided by the Holy One of the descendants of the Holy prophet, the face of the world will be changed completely, and peace, Justice, happiness, sincerity, security, and in short the religion of Islam will be ruled every where. And the twelfth Holy Imam, Muhammad al-Mahdi son of Hasan al-Askary (peace be on him).Science or reason has been able to establish that there is a limit fixed for Longevity of life. In order to continue material life is necessary to keep the material means intact and so long as the one active the other also remains active. Thus for an ordinary individual it is possible to live from amount to thousands of years. Besides, what limit can be placed upon he whom God the All-Mightily wishes to keep a live for thousand, of years. There is no particular time fixed for the appearance of this Holy Imam, but some signs have been given, at the occurrence of which he will appear. He is living by the will of the Lord as is Jesus in the seed of Isaac through his virgin mother Mary. Both this Holy Imam and Prophet Jesus will reappear at the will of Lord before the end of the world after which will be the Last Day of Resurrection and final Judgment.
